Who are we?
Birds Apartments began quietly, as most meaningful family stories do, around a kitchen table.
What started as a single, much-loved family home in Lisbon slowly grew into an idea: what if visitors could feel the city the way we do—unrushed mornings, light through old windows, the comfort of a place that feels lived in rather than visited. The family decided not to create “holiday rentals,” but homes they would be happy to offer to friends.
Each apartment was restored with care, keeping original details, choosing furniture with intention, and adding small comforts learned from years of welcoming guests. The name Birds came naturally—because birds travel, return, and always look for a safe place to land.
Over time, guests came from all over the world, but the spirit remained the same: personal welcomes, local tips shared with pride, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing someone felt at home. Birds Apartments is still a family story—built on trust, warmth, and the belief that travel is most beautiful when it feels human.
